NERO - A neurosurgical robot

New project NERO - A neurosurgical robot in collaboration with Clinical Hospital Dubrava under the guidance of Darko Chudy M.D. PhD and Prof. PhD. Bojan Jerbić from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and in cooperation with INETEC.
The project is within the EU Regional Development Fund and will commence 2017 and finish in 2021.  It is an interdisciplinary project of robotic application in neurosurgery.

Pollins Project

Under the Research Executive Agency which is the funding body for research and innovation which manages EU research grants - funds have been received for the POLLINS project. This is a collaborative project between INETEC, CERTH, ATIC, ROBO, AGPYME, SEPVE, TNDT, LCCS, OIKON, NOVOCAPTIS, I&T, CITY, ICCS and CETRI.
The Pollins project aims to develop a semi-autonomous, remotely controlled robotic system which will deploy three novel (and an existing modified) sensors for the assessment of soil quality and site characterization. The Pollins system will have the capacity to shorten the time required for analysis, to improve results by at least 70% as well as provide more efficient data for potential contamination.

INETEC NDT School and Training Centre provide multiple education opportunities.

A 24-month grant contract between EASME and the following parties: INETEC, APPLIED INSPECTION LIMITED, KAUNO TECHNOLOGIJOS UNIVERSITETAS, TWI and PUBLIC POWER CORPORATION S.A

The executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) has signed a grant contract between the following parties: INETEC Institute for Nuclear Technology from Croatia, APPLIED INSPECTION LIMITED (Applied) from United Kingdom, KAUNO TECHNOLOGIJOS UNIVERSITETAS (KTU) from Lithuania, TWI LIMITED (TWI) from United Kingdom and PUBLIC POWER CORPORATION S.A. (PPC) from Greece. 

 

The grant is awarded for the activity entitled ‘An ultrasonic non-destructive testing system for detection and quantification of early stage subsurface creep damage in the thermal power generation industry — creep UT’.

 

The duration of this project will be 24 months and will commercialize the Creep UT system, which employs a proprietary Ultrasonic (UT) technique that enables early detection of sub-surface creep damage in fossil and nuclear power generation industry systems.

Successfully completed buried pipeline inspection!

INETEC has successfully performed inspection of buried pipelines on VVER NPP.

The inspection was conducted by inspection system Zenith, developed by INETEC, which showed excellent records.

Zenith is the cutting edge technology and the only one worldwide capable to perform such inspection combining ultrasound and eddy current method.

Regional Workshop on Risk Informed Inspection Technology for Structure Integrity of System Structure and Components through the Advanced ISI/NDE Technologies

The workshop entitled “Risk Informed Inspection Technology for Structure Integrity of System Structure and Components through the Advanced ISI/NDE Technologies“ was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency in collaboration with the Government of Croatia through INETEC-Institute for Nuclear Technology, in the period from July 11, 2011 to July 14, 2011. The workshop is within the framework of TC Project RER/4/030-Strengthening Capabilities for Nuclear Power Plant Performance and Service Life including Engineering Aspects (Phase II). The purpose of the workshop was to familiarise the participants with and to exchange experiences on advanced NDE/ISI technology, maintenance optimisation techniques and repair. Twentyfive participants were present from various countries.
